Each event on its own table

Every tick is a level of the table at its real raw value. Your result sits at its true value between levels; the ring is the next level.

About this result

  • Failing one or more individual modalities will result in an overall PRT failure.
  • The overall PRT score is a category-level performance corresponding to the average of points accumulated from the individual PRT modality tests. (Guide-5A)
  • Levels: Outstanding High 100, Medium 95, Low 90 · Excellent High 85, Medium 80, Low 75 · Good High 70, Medium 65, Low 60 · Satisfactory High 55, Satisfactory Medium 50 · Probationary 45, the lowest pass.
  • Scored with PRP Guide-5A DEC 2025, effective December 30, 2025.

How the math works

  1. Three events, one tablePush-ups, forearm plank and one cardio event (1.5-mile run, 2-km row, 500-yard or 450-meter swim), each looked up on Table 4-1 (below 5,000 feet) or 4-2 (5,000 feet or more) for your age group and sex.Physical Readiness Program Guide-5A, Physical Readiness Test (DEC 2025) (page dated )
  2. Levels and pointsOutstanding High/Medium/Low 100/95/90 · Excellent 85/80/75 · Good 70/65/60 · Satisfactory High 55, Satisfactory Medium 50 · Probationary 45. Your level = the highest one whose value you met or beat; between two levels you earn the lower one.Physical Readiness Program Guide-5A, Physical Readiness Test (DEC 2025) (page dated )
  3. PassProbationary (45) or better in all three events. “Failing one or more individual modalities will result in an overall PRT failure.”Physical Readiness Program Guide-5A, Physical Readiness Test (DEC 2025) (page dated ) · OPNAVINST 6110.1L CH-1 (page dated )
  4. Overall scoreThe average of the three events’ points, to 2 decimals, and its category. When the average falls between levels of two categories (88.33 is between Excellent High 85 and Outstanding Low 90), both are shown: Guide-5A doesn’t say how such an average is placed.Physical Readiness Program Guide-5A, Physical Readiness Test (DEC 2025) (page dated )
  5. High-performance exemptionOverall Outstanding Low or higher with every event Excellent Medium (80) or higher — checked against your result; when the average’s category is a range, the check says it may apply.Physical Readiness Program Guide-1, Policies (AUG 2026)

Not modeled here

  • Bike: Not modeled — scored only by the Navy’s official PFA app from the bike model and calories (Guide-5A; checked October 6, 2026).

  • Treadmill: Not modeled — OPNAVINST 6110.1L lists it as an alternate, but Tables 4-1 and 4-2 have no treadmill column, so which column applies isn’t confirmed (checked October 6, 2026).

  • Combat fitness assessment: Not modeled — Guide-5B’s tables weren’t read for this tool (checked October 6, 2026).

Each level is the points next to the value you must reach; between two levels you earn the lower one. Probationary (45, marked “min”) is the lowest pass: below it in any one event is a PRT failure.

How we check the numbers

  1. From the agency’s own tables. Pay from DFAS, housing from DoD’s BAH file, VA rates from VA, fitness scores from each service’s current scoring tables — looked up the way the tables read, never interpolated.
  2. Two dates on every answer. The date a rate took effect and the date it was last checked against the agency’s page. A rule that can’t be confirmed says “Not modeled” and why, instead of a guess.
  3. Tested, then logged. The arithmetic runs on one engine with automated tests built from the agencies’ own worked examples; every rate or rule change goes into the public change log with its source.
