Each event on its own table

Every tick is a real row of the chart at its real raw value. Your result sits at its true value between rows; the ring is the next row.

About this result

  • Repetitions or durations below the required minimum receive a component score of zero (AFMAN 36-2905, 3.7.4).
  • Waist-to-height is truncated to 2 decimals, not rounded (AFMAN 3.15.4.2).
  • Between two rows of the chart you earn the lower row.
  • The 1.5-mile run and the abdominal circumference measurement are gone; the charts in use took effect March 1, 2026 (cao 17 Mar 26).
  • Waist-to-height has no minimum: it adds 0 to 20 points.

How the math works

  1. Four components, 100 pointsCardio 50 (2-mile run or 20-m HAMR) + strength 15 (1-minute push-ups or 2-minute hand-release push-ups) + core 15 (1-minute sit-ups, 2-minute cross-leg reverse crunch or forearm plank) + body composition 20 (waist-to-height).Tab 2. 2. One chart per optionYour points = the highest row you met or beat, by age group and sex; between two rows you earn the lower row. Top rows marked “≤” or “≥” cover anything better.A 15:05 2-mile at under 25 (male) is 45.0, because 46.0 needs 15:00.Tab 2. PFRA Scoring Charts, cao 17 Mar 26 (page dated )
  3. Component minimumsCardio 35.0, strength 2.5, core 2.5 (the starred rows). “Repetitions or durations below the required minimum receive a component score of zero.” Waist-to-height has no minimum.AFMAN 36-2905, Air Force Physical Fitness Readiness Program (24 Mar 2026) (page dated ) · Tab 2. 4. Waist-to-heightWaist ÷ height, truncated (not rounded) to 2 decimals: 39.5 ÷ 72 = 0.5486 → 0.54 → 15 points. Waist measured three times and rounded down to the half inch; height to the nearest half inch.Points: 0.49 or less → 20 · 0.50 → 19 · 0.51 → 18 · 0.52 → 17 · 0.53 → 16 · 0.54 → 15 · 0.55 → 12.5 · 0.56 → 10 · 0.57 → 7.5 · 0.58 → 5 · 0.59 → 2.5 · 0.60 or more → 0.AFMAN 36-2905, Air Force Physical Fitness Readiness Program (24 Mar 2026) (page dated )

Not modeled here

  • 2-km walk: Not modeled — it is pass/fail with no points, and how the composite is scaled without a cardio score isn’t in the parts of AFMAN 36-2905 we read (checked October 6, 2026).

  • Component exemptions: Not modeled — how the composite is scaled when a component is exempt isn’t in the parts of AFMAN 36-2905 we read (checked October 6, 2026).

  • Space Force: Not modeled — Guardians have their own fitness program; this tool scores the Air Force PFRA only (checked October 6, 2026).

Each row is the points next to the value you must reach; between two rows you earn the lower one. The row marked “min” is the component minimum (the chart’s starred row): a result below it scores 0 for that component and the test is unsatisfactory. “≤” and “≥” on the top row mean anything better earns the top score.

How we check the numbers

  1. From the agency’s own tables. Pay from DFAS, housing from DoD’s BAH file, VA rates from VA, fitness scores from each service’s current scoring tables — looked up the way the tables read, never interpolated.
  2. Two dates on every answer. The date a rate took effect and the date it was last checked against the agency’s page. A rule that can’t be confirmed says “Not modeled” and why, instead of a guess.
  3. Tested, then logged. The arithmetic runs on one engine with automated tests built from the agencies’ own worked examples; every rate or rule change goes into the public change log with its source.
